Do I need an appointment to shop at Honey?

Yes. Honey is open by appointment only, to ensure individualized attention for each bride.

How long is my appointment?

Your initial appointment is 75 minutes — plenty of time to relax, enjoy a drink, laugh with friends, and try on dresses. Follow-up appointments are 60 minutes.

When should I shop for my dress?

Ordering your gown 10 - 14 months in advance is ideal. Standard lead time is 5-7 months, and we recommend allowing a minimum of 3 months for alterations. Gettin’ hitched in a hurry? No sweat — we have a selection of sample gowns available off-the-rack, and nearly every new gowns can be rush ordered (fees apply).

What is the price range at Honey?

Our dresses range from $2500-$7000, with the majority between $2800-$4000. Please note that depending on your desired shape/style, options may be limited at the low end of our price range. You can view more specific price ranges for each designer on our Gowns page.

What size are your dresses?

Our gowns are sampled in a range of sizes 8 - 20, and can be ordered in sizes 0 - 32+ depending on style. Each of our styles is labeled by sample size on our Gowns page. Most non-fitted gowns can be tried on in any size, and clamped/extended to fit. For styles that may be significantly too big or small, we will happily assist in selecting the best substitution. Please note, bridal sizing runs small.

Who should join me at my appointment?

We strongly recommend keeping your group small — a couple of friends or family members who make you feel loved and supported. Our shop has seating for up to 4 guests (+bride), but we find that our brides have a much better experience when they bring fewer people. It’s okay to shop on your own, too!

Do you do alterations?

We do not offer in-store alterations, but we can recommend several expert tailors who will take good care of you. Please note that alterations are not included in the price of a wedding gown, and take this into account when assessing your budget.

What should I wear/bring to my appointment?

Nude colored seamless undergarments (bra is optional, underwear is required). If you are more comfortable in shapewear, bring that along as well. To help keep our gown samples clean, we request that you wear deodorant and avoid heavy makeup.

Is there a booking fee for appointments?

There is a $25 booking fee for bridal appointments. You may reschedule without a fee for any reason — just call or email. Follow-up appointment fees will be credited towards your purchase at Honey. Charges are refundable if canceled more than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please contact us if you have any questions or need help booking.

What if I’m just looking for accessories?

Give us a call or send us an email, and we will assist you with scheduling a complimentary appointment.

There’s a specific gown I’m dying to try on! Do you have it?

Check our Gowns page, and if you don’t see it, email info@honey-bridal.com. If we don’t carry it, we may be able to have a gown sent in for your appointment (fees apply). No loan requests in the booking form, please! We do not see this information until the day of your appointment.

Do you serve drinks?

Yes, Honey! If you have a special bottle you’d like to pop, feel free to bring it along. Otherwise, we’ve got you covered.

Did you move?

Yes! Our new location is at 670 N Milwaukee, Chicago IL 60642. We can’t wait to see you in our beautiful new space. Please note that some rideshare services still list our old address, so double check you’re headed to the right place.
